2018 marks the 10th Anniversary of the founding of Kids in the Congo! A celebration will be held in the Fall to honor this achievement. More information to follow.
Kids in the Congo was founded in 2008 and has provided significant aid to the children of the Beni region in the Congo. We currently sponsor 141 children in grades K-12 and the first four graduates of Prince of Peace School have gone on to college. In 2015, Cunney Vindikanwa became the first of our students to graduate from college as a teacher. We have assisted in the funding of a library at Kambale High School in Butembo, provided funding for furniture at Kindungu Primary School in Butembo and fully funded equipment for a printing and electrical lab at Mahamba High School. In 2016, we also provided school supplies for 130 students.
These efforts are entirely dependent on the support of donors and any contribution is greatly appreciated. We hope to increase the support we can give to the children of the Congo for many years to come.
